FUTAB

FUTAB is Chat for, “Feet Up, Take A Break.” FUTAB might be what you imagine when you hear the word Sabbath: aimless rest. Mandatory aimless rest, actually.

 But if that’s all you imagine, you’re falling way, way short.

 Because Sabbath has a definite aim

 Baptism

As part of our worship this morning we will—all of us, in community—participate in the Sacrament of Baptism for Wesley Maddox. I say “all of us” because it takes a whole church to baptize as an initiation into that community of faith in Jesus, and as such, a means of grace for Wesley.

 This is very exciting.
