Bishop
Redeemer Anglican is part of the Anglican Church in North America, and the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word. We follow the pastoral leadership of Bishop Julian Dobbs.
Ordained in 1991, he planted three congregations and served as the rector of the fastest growing Anglican church in New Zealand. He was elected and consecrated as bishop by the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) in 2011, and is a member of the College of Bishops in Nigeria and also the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).
Rector
Steve Wishart serves as Rector (Senior Pastor) of Redeemer, and is also a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor, and certified Professional Coach. Founding the church in 2009, he brings over four decades of pastoral experience in California, Indiana, and Maryland. He’s been married to Lauren since 1980. They have three married sons, and four grandchildren.
Assisting Priest
Steve Engstrom is an Illinois native, Steve brings decades of congregational ministry, non-profit leadership, and mission experience in Illinois, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Israel. Steve was Ordained as a Priest in the Anglican Church in North America in 2016 and works full time in corporate sales for the life sciences industry. He’s been married to Rebecca since 1991. They live in Annapolis with their youngest of three children, a St. John’s College graduate.
Children’s Formation Director
Karissa Simmons sources curriculum and provides oversight to everyone who volunteers in Children’s Formation. Karissa is also responsible for upholding safeguarding standards and best practices.
Music Director
Eric Hendrix joined Redeemer’s staff in the spring of 2025. Since he was ten years old, Eric has served in music ministry in various capacities at churches and sacred venues across the country, later obtaining undergraduate degrees in Biblical studies and in music before going on to get his Master’s in Music. In 2023, he moved to the greater Baltimore area with his wife, Emily (who joins him most Sundays on the piano!), where he works in the insurance field and she teaches music.
Administrator
Tori Fox serves as the church administrator and oversees the communications, events, and membership for the church, along with managing the day-to-day office tasks. Tori‘s education and practice in nursing have given her great attention to detail and organizational skill which she brings to the position. She loves art, cooking and is always up for an adventure. Tori lives in Annapolis with her husband John and their cat Mochi.
