Winter Wins!
Despite a heroic effort by Hale and a team of volunteers (thank you!) we still have lots of very stubborn ice on our parking lot and sidewalks—especially on the property’s north side. Additionally, Springdale Avenue being as yet unplowed denies access to our parking there. We are therefore cancelling our in-person worship gathering at 1309 this Sunday, February 1. We will instead gather for a service of Morning Prayer on Zoom at 10:00am, and I hope you’ll join us.

NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Giving—The “in-person” disruption of this winter season coupled with January being a historically lighter giving month means that Redeemer finds itself at a very low ebb financially, and cash flow is becoming a significant challenge. We are so grateful that most of our congregation gives generously and regularly to the work of our church. Some give by mail and some give online, but many prefer to give in person on Sundays. If you’re in the latter group, please consider giving by mail (1309 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403), or online. If you’d like information about no-fee ACH direct deposit giving, email our Administrator, Kaarin. Thank you!
Lenten Home Groups—beginning the week of February 1.
Around the Table—A prayer time for women, Thursdays at 9:00am beginning February 5 at the Wisharts (1854 St. Margarets Rd, Annapolis). Email Lauren Wishart with questions or for more information.
Youth Formation (ages 10–13)—Sundays at 9:00am in the Rectory apartment (the end of the Rectory nearest the Sanctuary).
Shrove Tuesday Dinners—February 17. Invite a family to share a simple feast of pancakes and bacon or sausage, the traditional Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) meal to celebrate the goodness of God at the ending of Epiphanytide, and “clearing the larder” of fatty foods in preparation for the leaner Season of Lent beginning Ash Wednesday.
Ash Wednesday Service—February 18, 7:00pm.
Women’s Watercolor Mini-Retreat—Saturday, February 28, 9:00am–12:00pm at Ginger Wiley’s home (407 Yantz Dr., Severna Park). Join us for a time of fellowship and breakfast as we work through a watercolor exercise and connect it to God’s Word. This will be easy and guided! Even if you’ve never painted, come and learn alongside others! $5.00 for supplies. RSVP: Ginger Wiley.
