Palm/Passion Sunday

Palm/Passion Sunday

This Sunday—a day of sharp contrasts—begins Holy Week. We’ll start our service outside with The Liturgy of the Palms, processing into the church commemorating Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem singing, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna!”. As with Jesus, however, soon after we’ve passed through the “gates” (represented by the doors of the Sanctuary), the mood shifts quickly from triumph to passion—suffering and death. It’s an important step of preparation for the week ahead.

Our schedule for the week is below. You can also find it—and share it—on our website here.

I look forward to being together Sunday.
