Episcopal Visitation this Sunday

Episcopal Visitation this Sunday

I know “Episcopal Visitation” may sound a little ominous, but it just means our Bishop is coming to visit—to be with us—and do things only a Bishop can do, like Confirmations. Yearly visits from a diocesan Bishop are very important events in the life of a local church like Redeemer. We have the chance to meet +Julian, the pastoral leader we pray for every week, and to hear his heart and vision for our diocese and for our church.

And it will be a full morning. Being Palm Sunday with a liturgy all its own, a gripping drama presented by Redeemer Kids, and several Confirmations, we can expect a little longer service. After worship, we’ll make lunches for The Light House Shelter, share some “Confirmation Cake”, eat lunch (if you’re hungry—we’ll make some extra sandwiches), and have a brief conversation and Q&A with +Julian. Our goal is to conclude by 12:30.

I hope you’ll make every effort to join us Sunday.
