Big Snow—With the heavy snow forecast for Saturday night through Monday morning, there’s a good chance that Sunday worship @ 1309 will be canceled. We plan to make a go/no-go decision late Saturday afternoon or early evening. Check our website.

Eight Words
Nearly two decades ago now I asked a mentor—a thoughtful and energetic 84-year-old—a big question: “You’ve had a while to figure this out: what do you truly want?”
He shared that he’d spent nearly a decade thinking about that very question, pondering what he’d say to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren if he had only one remaining breath. I’ll never forget his answer.
Ten years of contemplation and meditation that came down to eight words, one for every decade of his life.
Eight words that wonderfully illuminate this week’s Gospel.

Giving Receipts—We plan to email 2025 giving receipts next week. If you do not receive yours by Friday, please check your junk/spam folder. If it’s not there, contact Kaarin Engstrom, our administrator.
Youth Formation (ages 10–13)—Sundays at 9:00am in the Rectory apartment (the end of the Rectory nearest the Sanctuary)
Lenten Home Groups—beginning the week of February 1. Please let Kaarin Engstrom know your preference for Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening.
Shrove Tuesday Dinners—February 17. Invite another family or individual to share a simple feast of pancakes and bacon or sausage, the traditional Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) meal to celebrate the goodness of God at the ending of Epiphanytide, and “clearing the larder” of fatty foods in preparation for the leaner season of Lent beginning Ash Wednesday.
