A Very Different Direction
A Very Different Direction
This week we’ll be considering a Gospel reading from John in which Jesus, at the apex of his potential populist power, gets a visit from some Greeks who are in Jerusalem for Passover. It’s significant, and a real inflection point in John’s narrative.
Just when he’s on the brink of what they assume will be a claim to his rightful place in history, Jesus departs from conventional wisdom and goes in what can only be called a very different direction.
See you Sunday.

Help beautify our Sanctuary and Lobby this Easter by helping provide—“loaning”, actually—Easter Lilies. Simply drop them by during the day on Holy Saturday (maybe when you come to the service!), or beforehand on Easter Day, and take them home with you after the service to enjoy.
