Luke For Everyone Beginning Sunday, February 3

The very first time someone stood up in public to tell people about Jesus, it was very clear: this message is for everyone.

The Gospel of Luke—which we’ll be reading together in this cycle of the lectionary*—is one of the most accessible and thorough writings in early Christianity. He tells us that he had had a chance to stand back from the extraordinary events that had been going on, to talk to the people involved, to read some earlier writings, and to write his own very full version so that everyone could know the truth about the things having to do with Jesus.

And as a way to help everyone know it better, we're offering a companion study through Luke’s Gospel beginning Sunday, February 3rd. Facilitated by Brian Russell, Luke for Everyone will be exceptional, and I believe it will help you know the truth about the things having to do with Jesus better.

I sincerely hope you’ll join us. You can register and purchase the study guide here.

Every blessing,

*Our readings from the Bible every Sunday or Holy Day are arranged in a three-year lectionary which is centered on the three Synoptic Gospels (readings from John are also placed in the lectionary at various times). Year A is Matthew, Year B is Mark, and Year C is Luke. The cycle of readings runs from Advent through Christ the King which is the Sunday before Advent.
