Study and Serve this Fall...and a Commissioning

I’d like to invite you to be part of three good things happening at Redeemer:

Seven-week study in the Gospel of Mark

Sundays 8:45-9:45 AM, beginning October 7 Facilitated by Brian Russell and Steve Wishart

Mark’s Gospel is the shortest and sharpest of the early stories about Jesus. It’s believed to be the first of the four Gospels written, and it has all the zip and punch of a quick story that’s meant to grab you by the collar and make you face the truth about Jesus, about God, and about yourself.

We’ll be using N. T. Wright’s “Mark for Everyone” Bible study guide (available on Amazon for $10) for this discussion-based study.

Service Day - Yard Work & Lunch

Saturday October 20 9am-1pm (Rain date: Saturday, October 27)

All are welcome at this family-friendly morning helping our friends Dale and Medora prepare their home for Winter ensuring their property remains safe and accessible in the cold and ice.

You can easily register for either of these events here.

A Commissioning

St. John’s College is a vital part of the city of Annapolis, and several of its students have become a vital part of Redeemer. One of those students, Isaac Hoke, has been selected to serve this year as the Archon of the St. John’s Men’s Christian Fellowship. He takes this ministry seriously, and so do we.

We’re going to commission Isaac to his work as part of our service of worship this week. Really hope you’ll join us.

See you Sunday,

Steve+
